| Venetian Hot Plate Founded in April 1955 Owner Linda Halioua, with her late husband Maurizio, moved from Northern Italy to Philadelphia and a few years later to Port Aransas to fulfill their dreams offering a little taste of their home to the people of the Gulf Coast. In May 2006 Maurizio lost a 7 year battle with kidney disease, but in his memory the restaurant is still thriving. In Nov. 2005 Chef Mark Pulich began work at the resteraunt and since the passing of Chef Maurizio has taken over the duties of executive chef. |
| Captain Gary and Shellie Gray Captain Gary and Captain Shellie Gray fish year 'round for trout and Redfish in the PortO'Connor/Seadrift area. Gary started his Bay Rat Guide Service 20 years ago. The Grays specialize in wade and drift fishing with artificial lures. Gary and Shellie also team up to fish many tournaments. |
